Quality check and other news

Hello, Trailblazers of the Unknown,

Here we are with some news.

Quality check

As you know quality is our main concern and so we decided to do a complete double check of all the game components to delete errors and polishing. We hired a professional proofreader (that read the 160 pages of the mission manual and the cards) and also some of you helped us in checking some components.

In particular we want to thank Stephen Davies and Valentyn Prumer for their help. They did really an amazing work. Also, thanks to all the backers that commented the Google Sheet file about the rulebook. About this one, it’s the last component we have to finalize, and it’s still work in progress, even if we improved it a lot.

New version (0.9) is here. It still needs many graphics improvements and has errors, but we are cutting them down one by one:

The negative news is that we lost a month on schedule to do all this work, so we accumulated a delay, but we thing that is far better to have a delay in the delivery than you receiving a game with errors or problems.

This quality check covered also the Citadel miniature. If you remember, in a previous updated we showed you the final miniatures, but not the Citadel that was still 3d printed. We had then received the final version of the mass production of the Citadel but it had a problem, the “mushroom” to hold the second level did not stay in place. So, the factory changed the mold and now the problem is solved. Here are some photos of the mass production version.

Shipping news

About the shipping news, we are contacting other fulfillment companies to get the better prices and ship the game without waiting as soon as it’s ready. This because its very difficult to predict the situation, and it could even get worse.

Most likely we will need you help to cover the additional costs, but we don’t want to say that before having final and complete numbers. We are very sorry about that, but we are working (and it takes time) to resolve this unpredicted issue. Hope you understand.

Preserve the light!
